Hello everyone!  This site is an experiment and new hobby for me.  I live in San Francisco, CA  (the most beautiful city in the world!) and work across the bay in Alameda.  My educational and professional background are in chemistry and public health.  So this website might seem like an odd fit for me.  That’s partially true.  Years ago, during the dot com boom, I worked at a small dot com while I was in college working on my undergraduate degree.  It was purchased by a larger dot com which subsequently failed and pulled us all under.  So I’m not a complete noob to the interwebs but I’m certainly out of practice.
